MANY OF US SILENTLY COPE WITH DIFFICULTIES IN OUR LIVES. BUT YOU DON'T HAVE TO. JATHINA WILL WORK WITH YOU TO GIVE YOU THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPLORE WHAT IS HOLDING YOU BACK AND START IMPROVING YOUR QUALITY OF LIFE.
Jathina Blais is a Registered Social Worker (R.S.W.) with a Master of Social Work degree. She practices psychotherapy with a focus on sexual assault trauma, domestic violence trauma, addictions, depression, anger, anxiety, low self-esteem, body image, personality disorders, and relationship issues. Jathina's therapeutic practices are rooted in feminist counselling, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), solution focused therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy (attachment theory).
As a strengths-based, empowerment, and client-centred therapist, Jathina values the healing relationship of a positive and trusting client-therapist relationship and works with you to identify and address your goals to create a specific counselling plan.
Jathina has a special interest in working with survivors of childhood sexual abuse, sexual assault, and domestic violence and has been providing therapeutic counselling since 2010. She understands that these traumatic experiences can often result in a loss of self, unhelpful coping, and feelings of isolation and despair. Together, we can find hope and create change.
Jathina provides services under the supervision of registered psychologist Dr. Brenda Saxe Ph.D, C. Psych.
